With so many critical issues to address, the Access to Opportunity committee has broken its mission down into three critical areas: business and economic development, English learner pathways, and cultural offerings and resources.
Highlights of accomplishments:
- Comprehensive ESL provider database
- Comprehensive translator database
- Mainstreamed ESL programs K-12 in local schools
- Establishment of a Welcome Center to address current and new workforce needs for refugees
