why did nabisco stop making ideal cookies?

Just emailed NabiscoWe NEED to let the world know about the Ideal bar. Its comforting knowing my insanity has friends. And, for a minute, it felt like a game-changer for Sunshine Biscuits. If you got a package that didn't have enough PB, they were almost tasteless. If someone starts a petition or figures out were/how to contact Nabisco I know many people who would sign or write or call. Anyone ever track down the recipe from Nabisco? They were the best ever, especially cold. 1993 Kraft General Foods acquires NABISCO ready-to-eat cold cereals from RJR Nabisco. It is such a good memory of my grandma. We'd save our allowance to buy them and they didn't last more than a half hour once we got them home. I was told way back in the 70's also that they quit making them during the warm months.. and then never started making them again one year. We need to take action for Nabisco to put these cookies back on the shelves, there wouldn't be many in the stores where I live because "I'D BUY ALL OF THEM". Reeses' stix are not the same but still evoke some of the same taste. I found something that reminds me of the Ideal Peanut Butter Bars. the little Debbie ones don't even come close .Please bring back the ideal. The taste brought back a memory from 30+ years ago. There are a few FAKE ones on the market but nothing like the real IDEAL cookies. Every once in a while my brother & I will talk about them. Gratitude to whomever started this stream so that I could possibly get this out of my system. i.ve been looking for those ideal bars everywhere.when i was younger i used to babysit i took my money and go to the store and buey ideal bars and eat the whole package they were so good.i wish they would bring them back!!!!!!!!!! Whenever I eat a Reeses peanut butter stick, I think of the Ideal Bar and how much better it is. In the 1970s and 80s, when the guards stepped away, the pots and flames came out. I have never tried them. Not quite the same quality but really close. I stated there was only 1 cookie worth remembering and that was IDEAL cookies, It is true, there has never been a better cookie made than those Ideal bars and never will. There are none like them. I agree I would pay $10 for ideals the only cookie i liked. I remember these and still desire them! As a matter of fact,they were terrible. I bought some Pinwheels the other day and the real chocolate melting in my fingertip reminded me of IDEALS. Let's get on the 'stick' and urge them! They are so missing the boat on a retro line for all of us who remember these products. The distinctive design was thought to have been created by William A. Turnier but Nabisco . Little Debbies just don't work for me. There never will be another cookie like it. I havent had an Ideal cookie in about 45 years but they are still my favorite cookie- bar none. I too wish they would bring them back. Very sad when something that evokes such passion is discontinued.. But the shift wasnt enough; in 2001, Kelloggs had bought the Keebler brand, putting Hydrox under yet another corporate owner, and by 2003, it had stopped selling Hydrox altogethersans a brief reprieve in 2008 after enough consumers complained that it briefly changed its mind. Why Nabisco why??? My husband promised me a case of them if we ever saw them again - which we have not. I think of these cookies often. I had no idea there were so many Ideal Bar fans out there. They were better than the Oreo with peanut butter in the middle, and that is saying a lot because I love those Oreos. I do remember them mostly being sold in the cooler months as the chocolate would melt very easily and most houses did not have air conditioning in those days. Once I nearly cut off my finger trying to cut one from the end that had stuck to the others. It's always about the money. It's a shame, and the list is rather long best cookie that I remember from my childhood have tried to find them for years without success used to sneak into my dads stash because they were so good have called and wrote a letter to Nabisco or rather Kraft and am waiting for an answer as to why that they cant bring them back it is so nice to know that I am not alone comforting to know that someone else knows exactly what cookie was so great in the 70's. At that point is when I realized I had the most "Ideal" day ever with my childhood. If products don't seem to be popular with our consumers, and demand starts to drop, a decision is made to discontinue the item. I've even told my kids about ideal bars.
