Ultimately I would want to give more specifics like, when using white tile you should use ________ color from ______ brand, and Id give you real takeaway instead of just choose the right grout. Your husband obviously had a very *strong* reaction to the idea of using charcoal grout. If the future owners want more color they can always use grout paint. The dark grout creates prominent lines and grids that dont mesh well with the other dark lines in the view (cabinet edges, etc.). The White is very generic and looks spec house to me. The charcoal looks great with the countertops. Not sure I like the Fushion grout much either. But since you might sell some day just ask a realtor. I think the only way to change the grout colour is to actually chip it out and re-do it. Im a high contrast type of girl so I would be really tempted by the white tile/black grout combo as well as the black tile/white grout combo. Charcoal grout. I also think if you use 2 different tiles on walls and floors, using the same grout color on both is a good way to tie the 2 tiles together for a more harmonious room. The reason that we didnt publish it originally is because I felt that just saying, black grout looks busier but more dramatic than white grout isnt enough of a lesson. Custom's poly blend grout has a color named #381 bright white, which is very close to Dal's product. The contrast of the Charcoal is perfect. It has epoxy in the grout mixture which keeps the grout from soaking in the dirt etc, making much easier to clean. At least for me, it gives the look more character because of the contrasting color (against the white). Personally I like a grey grout that mocks kitchens from the 30's. GREY! I would use the soft white or a light grey. I always suggest doing a mock up board if you are unsure of grout colours. Emily, this is super helpful! . Ive been watching home improvement shows and you can see every imperfection in the grout lines with such a contrast. All white tile. I chose all wood with fully extend and soft closure. It much easier than bending and having a door cabinet.The only thing I would do differently is not get the grates on the glass in the corner top cabinets. on my main bath. the white looks way washed out. I feel they really need a contrast. Now there are endless colorseven metallic and glitter are available. For what its worth I am not a realtor, but love the help we received from ours. We tried bright white {which let me tell you is the OPPOSITE of CHARCOAL on the grout spectrum}. There are chunks of white tile in betwen all that dark grout!!
